The day after the dinner at UFDC, Patsi went to see the Liberty Bell which impressed her so much that she asked Heidi to make her an "American Girl" outfit to travel by train from Philadelphia, the old Capital, to the new Capital, Washington DC. 

Patsi is wearing her "American Girl" outfit when she goes to see the White House. The Capital was also on her sightseeing list and she wanted to go to the Washington monument. The little narrow cobblestone streets of Georgetown took her right to the harbour were she boards a ship to visit Mount Vernon the country seat of the first American President George Washington.
